Price
The official Youdao Translation API provides a free trial worth 50￥. After using it up, charges will apply, and the fees will be collected by Youdao Translation on its own Youdao Zhiyun AI open platform, unrelated to Salad Dictionary. The official pricing for Youdao Translation is 48￥ per million characters.
Youdao Translation is billed daily, and it is recommended to set a balance alert at 10￥, so you will receive a text message reminder when the balance falls below 10￥. However, please note that daily billing means that even if the free quota is used up within a day, charges will continue until the daily settlement (usually at 1 AM), at which point a reminder will be sent.
Application Steps
- Open the Youdao Zhiyun AI Open Platform and click on the registration button in the upper right corner.
- Open the Text Translation Service page, click the "Create Application" button, and fill in the application information in order: "Salad Dictionary," "Utility," "Text Translation," "API," and click confirm to complete the creation.
- Open the Application Overview page, find the application you just created with the name "Salad Dictionary" in the application list, and you will see the "Application ID" and "Key/Package Name/Bundle ID." Fill these into the extension's "Settings" - "Dictionary Account" - "Youdao Translation."
