Models and Pricing

For information about DeepSeek models, please refer to the DeepSeek Pricing Documentation. Among these models, only one is suitable for translation:

• deepseek-chat: Input price is 1 CNY per million tokens, output price is 2 CNY per million tokens New users receive 10 CNY worth of trial credits upon registration, valid for 30 days. You can check your remaining balance at Usage Information | DeepSeek Platform. "Input" refers to the text you send to the model for translation, while "output" refers to the translation result provided by the model. The final cost for one translation = number of input tokens * input price + number of output tokens * output price. 1 token approximately corresponds to 1 Chinese character or 3-4 letters.

Application Steps

1. Register an Account

Visit the DeepSeek Platform and follow the prompts to register or log in to your account.

2. Get API Key

Go to API keys, click [Create API Key], enter "Saladict Translation" as the name to create a new API key, and copy it for later use.

3. Enter the API Key in Saladict Translation

Open Saladict Translation's [Settings] - [Dictionary Accounts], find [DeepSeek] and click the [Manage Keys] button, then paste the [API key] you copied in the previous step.

4. Optional: Switch Models

Saladict Translation uses the deepseek-chat model by default, but you can set it to use other models
