Huoshan Translation offers the first 2 million characters free each month. Any excess will be charged at 49￥ per million characters, and the fees will be collected by Huoshan Translation on its own Huoshan Engine platform, unrelated to the word translation service.

Huoshan Translation is billed monthly, which means that even if you have exhausted your free quota within a natural month, Huoshan Translation will continue to charge until the beginning of the next month when a reminder will be issued. Therefore, please closely monitor your usage for the month. If you wish to receive notifications when Huoshan Translation charges each month, it is recommended to recharge 1￥ at the Huoshan Engine Cost Center and set the available quota warning to 1￥. This way, you will receive a prompt when the charge occurs that month.

Application Steps

1. Open API Access Process Overview Machine Translation - Huoshan Engine and follow the official guidance to complete the three steps: register an account, real-name authentication, and activate the service. Operations need to be performed in the console.
2. In the fourth step of obtaining the key, Huoshan Engine provides two options:
   • Continue creating (using the main account to create the key, which is more convenient, but this key can access resources of the main account and is less secure). After selecting "Continue creating," a new entry will appear in the table, which includes the "Access Key ID" and "Secret Access Key" we need.
   • Create a new sub-user (it is recommended to create the key using a sub-user for better security) to obtain the "Access Key ID" and "Secret Access Key." The sub-account must have the TranslateFullAccess permission.
3. Fill these into the extension under "Settings" - "Dictionary Account" - "Huoshan Translation."
