Obtain the DeepL API Key from the official DeepL website.

Pricing

DeepL's subscription types are divided into two:

Free (Recommended): Provides 500,000 free characters per month. Once exceeded, you cannot use it again until the free quota resets next month.
Pro: No free quota. $25 per million characters, and an additional monthly subscription fee of $5.49.

To register an account and activate the DeepL API, you need to provide a VISA or MASTER credit card issued by a country or region supported by DeepL.

Application Steps

Obtain an account that has activated the DeepL API.
Obtain the Authentication Key.

Once you have an account that has activated the DeepL API:

Open the DeepL official website, click the "Log In" button in the upper right corner to log into your DeepL account, and open the "Account" page.
You can also directly open the Account.
Find the "Authentication Key" and copy it.

Fill in the Authentication Key in Salad Dictionary.

Open the Salad Dictionary's "Settings" - "Dictionary Account", find "DeepL", and then click the "Manage Key" button to paste the "Authentication Key" you copied in the previous step.

You only need to fill in either the Free account key or the Pro account key.

Self-built DeepL API (DeepLX)

If you have the ability to build your own API, you can refer to DeepLX or zu1k/deepl.

How to use

【Settings】-【Dictionary Account】, find "DeepL", and enter the self-built DeepL API URL, such as http://your-domain/translate, into "DeepLX URL".
