Standalone Window

Triple press ctrl (or set another shortcut) to open an independent Salad Dictionary translation window.

• You can drag this window to any position on the screen for convenient translation at any time
• You can set automatic clipboard data retrieval and automatic word lookup
• Clicking the "Pin Button" in the menu bar can control whether the standalone window gains focus (jumps to the front) when looking up words. Note that this is not "window always on top" because the browser does not provide this interface

Actual effect: For example, if you are browsing a webpage with multiple windows open (such as browser, document editor, etc.), when you look up a word, the standalone window will automatically appear on top for easy viewing, while other windows will be covered.

Translation Outside Browser

You can use Salad Dictionary's translation feature outside the browser, which will open an independent translation window. The principle is to use the clipboard as an intermediary along with a global shortcut key.

How to Use

1. Do not close the browser, keep it running

2. Go to the extension management center and set a global shortcut key for Salad Dictionary to Search clipboard content in standalone window
   • First set a shortcut key, for example, ctrl+shift+v
   • Then set this shortcut key to "Global" (if the option is not settable, refresh the shortcut key settings page after setting the shortcut)
3. Copy the text you want to look up, then press the shortcut key
