How to Use
When you select text on a webpage
- "Show Icon" will first display an icon near the mouse cursor, which shows the dictionary panel when hovered over;
- "Direct Search" will not show an icon, directly displaying the dictionary panel;
- "Double-Click Search" shows the dictionary panel directly after double-clicking selected text; After selecting "Double-Click Search", a new box will appear to adjust the double-click interval to suit different typing speeds;
- "Hold Ctrl/⌘" requires holding the Ctrl or Command ⌘ key while selecting text to show the dictionary panel.
- "Mouse Hover Word Lookup" automatically selects text under the mouse cursor.
- The word lookup panel can be pinned, and additional lookup modes can be configured within the panel.
Single and Multi-line Editors
In addition to the search box in the toolbar, Saladict also provides a multi-line editor. It is collapsed by default below the toolbar and can be expanded/collapsed by clicking.
The expansion behavior of the multi-line editor can be adjusted through settings and will change based on different scenario modes.
Press Ctrl + Enter to search in the multi-line editor.
