Scenario Mode

Choose different translation modes based on different scenarios

Scenario Mode is a unique feature of Saladict that allows you to choose different translation modes based on different scenarios. Currently, there are the following scenario modes:

  • Default Mode
  • Sentence Library Mode
  • Translation Mode
  • Academic Mode
  • Japanese Mode

How to Configure

  1. Open Extension Options
  2. Find "Scenario Mode"
  3. Select a scenario mode
  4. You can also add custom scenario modes by clicking the "Add" button and then entering a scenario name
  5. In "Dictionary Settings", select the dictionary list for the current scenario mode

How to Use

  1. When translating selected text, the dictionary list for the current scenario mode will be used
  2. You can also click the "Switch Scenario Mode" button in the translation panel to switch to another scenario mode, or select the menu icon and press the ↓ key Switch Scenario Mode
