Update Saladict

After a new version of Saladict is released, you have the following two ways to update to the new version.

• Wait for your browser to automatically update to the new version

  This method is the most convenient, but it can be slower because Saladict must first pass through the review of various browser extension stores (approximately 1 to 7 working days) before it is listed, and then your browser will take another 1 to 2 days to automatically update to the latest version.

• If the new version has already passed the review and is listed in the extension store

  Follow the steps below to manually update.

  The following steps only apply if Saladict has passed the review and is listed in the extension store.

Steps to Manually Update in Chrome / Edge

1. Open the extension management page (chrome://extensions)
2. Turn on "Developer mode." This switch is located in the upper right corner of Chrome and the lower left corner of Edge.
3. Click the "Update" button, and then wait for the version number of Saladict to update to the latest version.
4. Attention Edge browser users If you have installed the offline installation package of Saladict, you need to first uninstall the offline installation package version of Saladict, then enable Saladict from the Edge extension store, and then follow the manual update steps above.

Update Steps for Browsers like QQ and 360 that Use the Chrome Kernel

Since Saladict has not yet been listed in the extension stores of these browsers, you will always need to upgrade through the Chrome or Edge extension store.
